Welcome Back to School

We are so excited to have everyone back at Capitol Hill School to start another wonderful year.

Thank you for supporting your child transition to the grade 5/6 classroom. We continue to work on and review our daily safety protocols in the classroom and the school. 

Just a reminder that students should minimize bringing items back and forth from home to school. Student names should be clearly labelled on all of their personal items. Please ensure that students have a pair of indoor runners to be left at school. All students can also bring in: 

• headphones/earbuds to use with the computers in a labelled ziplock bag
• a water bottle that goes home at the end of every day to be cleaned 
• a deck of cards to be left at school 
• a reading book that can be left at school for a period of time
• an extra face mask in your backpack.

We will have the designated grade 5/6 doors unlocked for 8:15 am each morning to encourage a soft entrance into their teacher supervised classrooms. Students can come into the school and settle themselves into their desk area to read, catch up on work, and other quiet activities until classes begin at 8:30 am.
