Online Learning for January 5-8 Update# 2

It has been so good to see everyone again even if it is through the screen. The students are eager to share and participate in the learning activities over the past few days so that definitely helps make those connections in a virtual way.

Daily assignments in math and language arts are provided and required to be submitted each day. There are many who are starting to fall behind. It is very important to check the schedule for attendance check in times at 8:30 and 12:30. The start of each learning block is the opportunity for direct instruction and whole class discussion before taking time to work independently on the online assignment for the day. 

Friday is a half day so the schedule from the rest of the week is slightly different:

8:30- Attendance and morning meeting, daily thinking challenge 9:00-9:15- Body break and screen break 9:15-10:15- MATH (Introduce the lesson live with the teacher, independent work time-check in with teacher as needed during work time) 10:15-10:30 Body break, screen break, snack break 10:30-11:30- LANGUAGE ARTS (Introduce the lesson live with the teacher, independent work time-check in with teacher as needed during work time) 11:30-11:45 Body break, screen break, snack break 11:45-12:00 MUSIC with Ms. Stoesz 12:00-12:30- PE Activities (family directed and planned) and Independent work time to catch up with online work for Music, Math, ELA, SS, Science
