End of October Updates
October is wrapping up to be a doozy! Students are involved in our classroom pumpkin design for Monday's assembly for Halloween. We have been painting and getting our art ready for a card fundraiser put on by our school council. Halloween is on Monday so students and staff can wear their costumes--just no blood, guts, or gore.
Class Election is underway! Students are campaigning with speeches happening on Monday and the election occuring on November 1. It is another great way to bring in leadership and voices to some of the decisions and activities for Room 2 students.
Inline skating forms went home with students on Tuesday and we would like them back at school by Monday, October 31 to get things organized. Please read the documents preceding the consent forms. It also includes the calendar to ensure students have their helmet at school. Equipment is provided by the vendor. Thank you again to the wonderful parents who answered my call for some extra hands to get the kids into their gear on their skating days.
We are also getting ready for the upcoming Remembrance Day assembly on Thursday, November 10 at 10:30. The grade 5 and 6 classes will be leading this work for the whole school. Ms. Stoesz will be posting some music to help students practice their choir pieces for this assembly.
