Meeting with Mrs. Moore-Part II
Thank you all for taking the time to meet with me during the parent teacher conferences! There were a lot to go through with 31 families, so I appreciate everyone's response and I hope I provided the necessary feedback to help support your child in Grade 5.
I know that many students have been away due to sickness, there are some things posted on Google Classroom that each student can access from home. There are assignments and links to books, videos, activities to support the learning that may be missed or require extra practice to reinforce their understanding in different content areas.
Many parents asked about some book recommendations for grade 5. Here is the CPL list that has many great books to read. Again, this is not all of the books nor do I require students to read all of them. I hope the list helps to develop your reader in becoming a book lover!

Some upcoming events:
- Thank you for helping us with donations towards the Veterans' Food Bank of Calgary. The grade 5 and 6 students are challenging each others' classes to bring in specific items to lead up to our building and counting session on December 16. Week 2 Donation Challenge is for food items in boxes.
- Weather changes! Please double check your child is dressed for the weather. There are supposed to be big changes on the way so make sure they have all their layers, mitts, tuques, boots, etc!
