January Updates

 With the first academic week of the year completed, here are some updates to keep you informed:

• Social Studies: regions of Canada presentations were complete this week and the students demonstrated more confidence and increased preparation to talk about their research and show off what they know about their designated region. There are student examples, recording of the presentations, and copies of scripts posted in Google Classroom to help prepare students for the upcoming unit test on Thursday, January 19.
• Science: learning about electricity and magnets to build and create circuits
• Math: review of the four operations with estimation, learning about x, y coordinates to create art
• PE: starting the badminton unit to work on eye-hand coordination, basic game skills, and rules for the game.
