Getting Reading for our Urban Walk Trip

 Our Urban Walk Field Trip Plan for THURSDAY, October 19

-dress for the weather (dress in layers), 

-comfortable shoes for walking, 

You need to have a backpack with: 

-Snack and Lunch (no microwaves, keep garbage to a minimum), 

-filled water bottle, 

-field journals (gather in class before leaving the school)

**Volunteers, need these too! Just come by the school and check in at the office for 8:30.

Itinerary:

8:50       Depart Capitol Hill School for Banff Trail C-Train Station

9:10       Arrive at C-Train Station and board train

9:30       Arrive at City Hall C-Train Station

9:30       Bathroom break at City Hall

9:40        Walk to and through the East Village and Fort Calgary, explore the community; comparing it to our own community

10:40     Snack & Play at the East Village Playground.

11:00     Continue walking through the East Village, visit the confluence, and walk to the Central Library

11:40     Arrive at Library and have lunch

12:20     Library Inquiry Exploration: How does the library help Calgarians? What does it offer for me?

2:00        Walk to City Hall C-Train station

2:15        Board C-Train at City Hall Station

2:40        Arrive at Banff Trail Station and walk back to school

3:00        Arrive at Capitol Hill School
