Grade 5 Urban Walk Field Trip

Thank you to our parent volunteers who were able to provide us with a few extra eyes and hands to supervise on our first field trip of Grade 5. Without the extra help, this trip would not be possible, so thank you, thank you for your generosity of time to help our class out.

The trip will have quite a bit of walking as we head from our school to the C-train station to get us to where the city of Calgary started out. Students will have tasks to do at our various locations throughout the day. Please refer to the itinerary provided last week to you. Students will arrive at school at their normal times for attendance. Volunteers may check in to the main office prior to 8:30 am, with the plan to start heading out at 8:45.

Please ensure your child in grade 5 has the following:

1. Students should be dressed appropriately for the weather. Please note the weather forecast the day of our trip.

2. Walking shoes appropriate for the weather.

3. A nutritious snacks that can be eaten quickly, preferably able to fit in a jacket pocket.

4. A filled water bottle (no glass please).

5. Students will require a waste-free lunch. We will have no access to microwaves or cutlery, please send anything your child may need with them.

6. A backpack to carry ONLY the day's learning materials, lunch, waterbottle, etc.

7. NO VALUABLES or MONEY! We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
