Safety Expo 2025

 

     The grade 5 students are heading back downtown! We will be attending the City of Calgary Safety Expo on Wednesday, March 12. It is a full day field trip and we were fortunate to be provided a bus to transport students, teachers, and volunteers to the site free of charge!

     Safety Expo teaches Grade 5 and 6 students about safety at home, school, and play. The 2025 Safety Expo, presented by ENMAX, will be an in-person event featuring live presentations and conversations with exhibitors from March 12-13, 2025, at the Calgary Municipal Complex. Calgary Fire Department Fire Chief Steve Dongworth is the executive sponsor of the event. The theme of this year’s Safety Expo is, Community Champions: celebrating the role of community helpers and the importance of working together. 

     Each class will need one or two (fingers crossed for 2!) volunteers with a current CBE and CPS volunteer clearance approved. Please contact your child's classroom teacher before March 7. Again, without the volunteers to assist with the supervision of students off-site, we will not be able to go on this field trip and it may be cancelled.
