June 13 Community Walk

What a Wonderful Day for a Community Walk!

What a beautiful day it was to get outside and explore the community! With clear skies, no smoke in the air, and a comfortably cool morning, we made the most of the lovely weather for our final community walk of the year.

This was my first solo walk to Confederation Park with all 18 students—and I’m happy to report that we made it there and back safely! Along the way, we paused to observe cut-down trees, watched cloud formations, and took time to sketch different perspectives at the duck pond. Students also enjoyed a snack break and a lively game of "camouflage" on the north side of the pond. Before heading back, we took a few quiet minutes for a sit spot to soak in the surroundings and simply enjoy the moment.

Thank you for sending your Grade 5 student to school prepared for the walk and activities. It was a great day filled with exploration, creativity, and connection to nature!
