Reading in the GeoDome

The grade 5 students in room 2 and their grade 2 reading buddies had a special meet up on Friday morning. Both classes ventured into the Geo Dome to take some time to read to each other. The grade 5s were impressed that many of their buddies could read some of their books to their older buddy. 

We are hoping to take some time in the spring to gather and plant some seeds inside the growing bins. It is always a delight to watch everything come to life in a matter of months inside the amazing growing atmosphere that is inside our "outside classroom." The colours come alive before the end of the school year in June where we hope to harvest some of our vegetables such as carrots, lettuce, beans, and many others. Last year, we were able to make a salad for lunch one day. Maybe we can do the same this year!
